Sri Lanka police arrests student convenor, four activists for initiating anti-government protests

Sri Lanka police fired water cannons and tear gas and arrested five members of a student organisation to quell an anti-government protest that erupted in the crisis-hit island nation on Thursday, the day the state of emergency imposed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe elapsed.
