Pakistan resident Seema Ghulam Haider and her Indian husband Sachin Meena were questioned by Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP ATS) on Monday. A senior official of the UP Police said that they were questioned by the ATS in Noida at an undisclosed location.
“ATS is looking into the espionage angle and how the woman crossed the Nepal border to enter India. They are being questioned to confirm if the woman is a ‘spy’ or not. However they were not taken into custody,” said the senior official.
Earlier, Gautam Buddha Nagar police had written to the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP ATS) to investigate the evidence that they had gathered so far.
